Last day at Ravensgate
Wednesday, September 06, 2006
Today is my last day at Ravensgate so I thought it would be a great idea to show my friends a typical work day for me.
830am, leaving the carpark.
Greeted by the usual morning traffic just a right turn into the main street from my house.
The white buildings at the back of the picture is where I will usually park my car. So for me to get from one end of the suburb West Perth to the other end of West Perth, takes me about 20minutes in the morning. Without the peak hour traffic, takes me under 7minutes.
Finally managed to park my car at RSG and I got to walk up the slope then turn right at the end to catch the Free Bus Service around city area (CAT BUS SERVICE).
It is definitely good exercise walking to the bus stop and then to the office. So this is how the bus stop looks like and the next bus will arrive in under 8 minutes.
The beautiful walk down to the office.
At last, arrived at office. And how messy my room looks like.
Time really passed fast today. Had a handover session with the new girl, Gail, and before we all know, it was time for lunch! Sonja had made a reservation at a nearby cafe for lunch.
This cafe serves beautiful lunches and to-die-for croisssants :)
Sitting at the left is Sonja (my biz mgr), Sue in the middle (office adminstrator) and Gail (the new employee). I bet we had a good time cos the lunch lasted for 2 hours and the accounting software consultant who was waiting for us girls to be back at the office wasn't pleased that he was wasting time waiting for us. HA!
One little thing about me: I have this little jar like container filled with M&Ms and I bring it along with me to every place I work at. I like to have something to munch on and give me a sugar high to keep me going during work. hahaaa... So after lunch, Sonja passed me my farewell gift together with a card. I was so touched as I have only worked for them for a little over a month yet they made me feel valued in the company.
It's really thoughtful of Sue as she reckons I need a new coffee mug at the new office and she filled it up with M&Ms and bought me another packet for refilling. What can I say? :)
Tomorrow I am going to start my new job with Paradigm. Sheesshhhh I hope all goes well. I am just kinda tired of working at 3 different companies for the past 7weeks. No joke. The kinda fighting spirit you gotta keep in order to adapt to new environment and knowing your job responsibilities. I hope that I do get to stay in the company for as long as the contract states.
Something about Yvanna: Issue resolved with him. Planning to go back Sing and a short trip to KL in Nov. Depends on my timetable but definitely it is tempting me. I wanna take a short break after my exams in October but I feel it's more likely for me to go back home during Christmas time. But to end this, there are no hiccups so far and I am really grateful that at least he did not turn a deaf ear to my displease confrontation.
Weather: I love Spring!
