Locked Out
Monday, February 20, 2006
Friday night, met Sam in city for coffee then had dinner at aramaks forget the name already... Bibik Chan? isit how u spell it huh sam?
So advice from Sam: Stay in Perth (reason being cost of living is cheaper) and I will try to get a proper job in Syd and if til May I am still holding some casual job then I will move back to Perth til my PR approves.
Saturday... Mj with my hsemates at night til 4am.
So today ahhhh i feel sooooo terribly sorry. Cos my dear housemates were out in the garden weeding and they did not lock the main door. At the same time, dear Yvanna left for church and locked the door behind her.
When I got back home, I felt something strange. My hsemates cars were all in the garage. Their mobile phones were left at home (how I know? cos it rang). Then again I thought they were absent-minded. But just have that kinda weird feel cos one of them will usually drive if they go out together. Yet two cars were parked at home.
30minutes after I got home, I got a call from a friend and asked if I was home. Then he explained that my housemates got locked out of the house.
When they were home, they told me the story:
Poor housemates were wearing their shorts and tees weeding the garden. Then when the trash bag was full, Jerry wanted to go get another. Suddenly the door is locked and he was shouting for my name. Ziyi noticed that my car is gone so told Jerry no point shouting my name. They waited for another 20minutes thinking that I went to take away lunch. 30minutes passed and they decided not to wait for me cos they worst fear was me meeting Sam and Mike for dinner, coffee blahblahblah and by the time I am home will be 10pm.
Dear housemates walked from Como to Lawson Street Bentley in pjs which is a rugged tee and shorts. hahahahaha and their hair uncombed. It was scorching hot today and the distance was about hmmm like Forum Shopping Centre walking to Marina Square. They were so tempted to ask for money from strangers cos they were so thirsty. Rem this: No money, no mobilephone, no nothing and they just walked and walked. Surely cursing away hahahahaaa.....
So they took their chance walked to Shawn's house (Bentley) and luckily Shawn was home. So here comes the networking system. Shawn's mobile by chance has Win's number and thru Win, they contacted Mike to get my number. And when they got home, they looked so relieved and they said: HOME SWEET HOME!
Poor things. They waited for me out in the garden for almost an hour. I felt really bad and it was really lucky tat Shawn was home. I can imagine if Shawn is not home.
Something about Yvanna: So this weekend passed like a breeze. Last week, I was growing more melancholy every hour. It was that bad. Guess that's me, falling into deep depression constantly. Nothing I wanna say about him today. Funny. hahaa...
Weather: Fair, sunny. Tmr 36Degrees, Tuesday 39degrees. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Music: System of A Down - Chop Suey
Mood: Not sure what to describe but definitely positive.

Deception
Friday, February 17, 2006
It's the weekend again. Once again, my mood is low. I have been feeling melancholic for the past few days. He did meet me on 15th Feb as promised. He did like the pressie I gave him. We did have a talk about me moving to Sydney. He reckons that I will not be able to save and Perth would be a better place.
And I asked him the stupidest question: Do you think I should go to Syd?
I was hoping for the "right" answer but I just got the open-ended answer: It's up 2 u.
Right now, he is heading down south. I rather he not telling me where he is going. Next week school starts and it's going to be busy again. I am already starting to behave like a kuku. Luckily I have a very understanding friend who had late night coffee sessions and advised me that I got to learn to let go. I am crossing the line now with the feelings I have for him. I've always thought that I was cool enough to overcome these overwhelming affections.
Last night I was actually hoping that he can be with me all the time, made me wonder what am I expecting out of this relationship? I am leading myself to a point of deception and it's going nowhere. In all these confusion, I saw a conclusion. I need to move away and keep a clear mind. All these emotion ruling thoughts have clouded my judgements and decisions. Matter of fact, this is not a complicated situation from an outsider's point of view. I feel that way too, just that when I take into consideration my feelings into it, it becomes a tangled web.
Weather: Perfect summer day

Mood: In denial

Move On Girl
Happy Valentine's Day
Decision: sydney
Date: march 06
What is making me wanting to stay in Perth: friends. comfort zone. i will miss perth a great deal. but after many thoughts, yes i still wanna hang on to good memories when i was a student. I miss those times especially hanging out with good friends like Samantha (isit only her in perth?) and Peiling who is also graduating this summer and will be heading back to Singapore end of Feb. Leaving me with who? And it's also not nice to keep relying on my few friends as they also have their own lives.
Tried applying for jobs in perth but as usual the response is: pls refer back to us when your permanent residency status has been confirmed.
Why Sydney: at least have a job though expenses is definitely higher than Perth. Try out a different place, maybe it's for the better? Everybody seems so sure of their future, but for me, i feel like a floating log.
Something about Yvanna: told him that im leaving for sydney. ahhhhhhhh.... response was : negative but he said its good at least i have a job yet end of conversation he said: can't u get a job in perth? he is part of reason why i am leaving perth.

When I was in Syd, I promised this friend of mine that I will do an essay for him. Reason being I was paid to do so and secondly, hmmmm he is from Hongkong and he was persuading me to help me because he was struggling understanding English.
After giving much thought and under immense pressure (cos I do not know how to reject) from Ken (that guy), I decided to help him. Then I went home with the reader and question paper, I thought to myself, what the hell is cultural policy and art policy's relation to it? I was suppose to write about the relation between both policies and how did the Australian government's intervention in 1990s affect relationships between cultural managers and art managers!
Disclaimer: I haven't been writing essays for more than 6 months and I am really poor at writing essays.
So every night for the past 5 days I told myself that I need to complete 500 words. It is a 2000 words essay. And currently, I am short of 600 words. Today I need to finish it. And never will I accept another offer of helping others do their essay!
Recently there has been lotsa ups and downs in my life. Deb told me that she couldn't move in together with me due to her personal problems and I had spoken to my current housemates see if they wanna extend their lease with this place and it will benefit all of us. On the other hand I was also planning if my hsemates want to move to some other places, prolly I will stay temp in Matt's place and decide from there if I can move in to stay with Sam and Mike. Hate it whenever I cannot have control over matters.
There's a song that goes like this: Always look on the bright side of life....
Yes I am! Dad is buying a car for me! I LURVE MY PARENTS! heheheheee..... Cos it's much cost savings compared to renting the car as I am not sure when my PR will be approved. The previous time I rented, 500 for like 8 days. I am going to stay here for more than 6 months, so do the math yourself!
Good Friends of Yvanna
Friends Whom I miss dearly.
And Not Forgetting My Dearest PIPI!!!!!
Another mission impossible is one of my new year's resolutions.
Something about Yvanna: He called me at like 8am when I got back from Sydney. MIA-ed for 4days after giving him endless excuses for not meeting him. So few days ago, he called me again. Wanted to know where I am staying and was chatting up. Alright he did come and visit me in the end cos he was on the way to school and just dropped by to pass me some stuff. Yes, I missed him lots and I have been trying very hard for the past month to suppress my feelings towards him. And all the hard work subduing kinda gone to waste. Yet this time when I see him, the feel is different from all previous times. Hmmm.... not sure why is this so.
