Last night attended Jessica's 21st bday at Hillview's Glendale Park.
Me and bday Girl
Jianxing and Jessica
So when was your 21st bday? I felt damn outta place when I was at the bday party. Practically hang out by the pool that night. But the food was good that night. Then Jan called and asked if I wanted to go for coffee session. And also Andeline called and asked if I wanted to join her at Wala Wala. So since Jan and I have no place in mind so we went over to Wala.
My 2 very good good friends. They have been through shite with me and were always there for me when I needed them most.
During our drinking session, Jan told me some stuff which made me contemplating whether I should go for the fishing trip today. So decision: NO SHOW.
Question: How truthful are you to your friend? Do you answer questions truthfully? Are U sincere to your friends and do you make other surrounding people hurt?
Well I msg him the reason but I guess he didn't understand what I really meant. The main reasons which made me not want to go due are:
1. I hate to be the last to know some stuff.
2. I thought of others whether it will be fair and will other party/ parties be unhappy?
3. Of cos nothing will happen but that's besides the point. It's how YOU feel about yourself. Are U truthful to yourself?
To me. I treat friends and close friends all the same. I always tell them how I feel and I never ever hide my emotions. Yes sometimes you do have your own privacy and I respect that. I just do not like my friends to be hiding stuff from me, in another words, not being truthful and frank. If this is so, what's the point of calling yourself MY Friend?

Good Old Times with Old Friend

Last night met up with Bernard and we went to HarbourFront for some wine. Not a bad place. Was surprised how WTC has transformed into. It's always nice to meet long-time friends and we laughed about the past. I have known him when I was 16+. That was how long ago I first met him.
Did sms him couple of times and he slept at about 11pm. Early ley. After HarborFront we headed to this TYPICAL SINGAPOREAN PUB called TCSS (Talk Cock Sing Song). Hahahaaaa.... But I got to admit that it's either the age catching up or my drinking skills sux big time now cos I was yawning away when it was 12am. I think its wine cos it always makes me sleepy.
Knocked out before 1am. This morning greeted by an sms telling me that he has went to bed and sorry that he couldn't ans my fonecall last night. Then I thought to myself, what a silly thing to do. So I made a pact with myself that I shouldn't contact him in anyway today. Weekends I will be over at Indo so doesn't matter cos I am unreachable. At least I have some time apart and let me think things through thoroughly.
So what have I done today? Met up with another old friend of mine. Gladys. She is currently studying at Sydney doing her Masters. I have known her since Primary school and we went to same Sec Sch together. So go and count yourself.
Us bitching away like never before.
She has certainly grown up alot.
I still remember us as being "enemies" in secondary school. I think we both craved for the same attention that makes us become loggerheads. But that was the past. We still are good friends after all.
After coffee at Wheelock Place, went to Substance and each of us got a pair of wedges for just $30. Darn BLURDEE CHEAP!
Then went to get Jessica's birthday present. It's her 21st bday today (yes, she is young.) So tonight is just a slow and quiet night then need to come home early cos tmr going to Tg Pinang at stupid time like 8am got to reach the blurdee jetty at Tanah Merah. *faint*
Laterz~

P.S: Oh yes and 1 thing. Never EVER layer in SG. It's farking crazy. Look at what I was wearing. It was a mistake.

Interview at FEO
Thursday, July 28, 2005
Today woke up super early at 8am. Last night still had that irritable cough and I had a splitting headache. Went to Bugis to meet Pearl last night for coffee and dinner. Tot I would give Starbucks another go (cos I dislike Starbucks) and indeed right after the coffee on my way home, I had this splitting headache on the bus and I simply cannot imagine how did I make my way home.
Got home I straightaway knocked out til 12am. Then took medicine and slept all the way thru till this morning. Woke up and was quite nervous about the interview. As I was going out of the door, I received an sms. He remembered that I have an interview and the msg goes: Good Luck - I'm with you all the way.
It did boost my confidence, thanks :D. So waited to meet the HR Mngr of FEO for 30mins. She led me into the interview room and I thought it was just gonna be me and her. (FYI: The job application is to replace some gal who is on maternity leave). I was surprised when she told me that Accounts Department are going to interview me too. So altogether in that small room, 3 Accounts Staff and 1 HR staff. Goodness... The job is going to last for only 3months. I can imagine if I was applying for some Perm Job. Will I get to see the Director too? hahahahaaa.....
Everything went smoothly. And they will inform me next week if I get selected. *fingers cross* I walked around Far East Plaza and find that the shops are selling similar stuff and its just not worth the price. But I saw a pair of shoes selling at Witchery too. It's the weaved pointies. Its only $30 compared to Witchery which is selling that pair for $129 AUD.
Bought some storybooks to accompany me through the trip to Indo this weekend and had my daily dosage of caffaine at Wheelock Place and reading the ever funny Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series.

Replied to my email and he was blabbering about Phillip Reece's lecture. The first lecture of Sem2. It was hilarious when he described that Phil's treating the students as if they were high school kids. If any Murdoch friends of mine reading, remember the YP (Your Problem) and YS (Your Solution) lectures? And that Donald Duck tie he wears and he always says that whenever he wears that tie, means that everybody is in trouble? And he said he was utterly embarrassed with P's lecturing style, seems as though he was back in school not uni.
Then I replied the email and I made the silliest mistake by signing off as Na. He replied by Na what the??????? I was so so so so so forgetful. I should simply signed off as Y or something. what the hell was I thinking of? But the last part of the email seems promising. He said he will call me during wkends post uni.
So after bath, got a call from Far East Org. I am up for an interview tomorrow morning 10am. I sure darn am looking forward to the interview. Rather than the stupid interview as an insurance agent.
Then I called the Migration Agent and they told me that I will be accessed as an Offshore candidate. DAMN IT! Now that just added one more reason why I should return to Perth now.
Upon hanging up with the agent, my phone rang. It was private phonecall so I picked up. Then that familiar voice says:" Hey Yvanna, it's me G." And I thought he was going to call me during wkends. He was just about to go for lecture C362 (that unit that I first saw him). It just made my day shine brightly. Conversation was totally unbelievable. Spoke for 10mins then he needed to go for lect. Just got an email from him and he wished me good luck once again for the interview tmr. It's a deal that I will be heading back Perth in SEPT! BYEBYE SG! hahahahhahaaaa.....

K to the MAX
Today went for interview at AIA Tampines. Did a profile test and he will call me tmr to cfm if I qualify to be an agent. But I am not really that interested being an agent. After interview headed down to Orchard to return some stuff to the facial place. Took a bus home and stopped by at Coffee Club Holland Village. Had my daily dose of caffaine (cappucino) and read my fav book.
Had dinner at Grandma's. Yummicilious. I just simply love her home cooked food. Spoke to uncle and auntie and they gave me some advices as to I should send my resume direct to the Big 4s. He messaged me tonight. He said: Hi I am doing my nightly walk along the beach at Cottesloe (that's where he is staying). Wish you were here to see it. Hope that you are ok and happy.
I felt that something was wrong with this sms so I msg back asking him wassup. After which he told me that he will be sending me an email later at night. I was quite shock abt the contents. He quarrelled with his wife and it was a major fight. I wish I was there at the beach to hear his troubles. He sounded unhappy. All I want is him being happy. Well I replied to his email telling him that I do want him to be happy and that he should understand where his wife is coming from and do give her another chance. Just have to wait for his reply tmr.
Got home at 11.30pm from Grandma's. Alvin msg and asked me out for a drink. Came to pick me up ended went to K. Sang till now. 5am! hahahahahaa concert lei. Yesterday K 4hrs with Cen. today K 4hrs with Al. Goodness..... I am so drunk and tired. Nid to get some slp oreadi. :D

Couldn't sleep last night was still trying to figure the last part of sms which states: "PS call in am guess u musta been in church". Then at last, I figured out that am is Morning. So I scrolled my missed call list and I checked the number on yellowpages, it was indeed from Grand Plaza.
Today wake up still pissed with myself. Went for facial and met Andeline who again was late again for an hour. Cos I have known her for donkey years, I was smart enough to bring a book with me. Had coffee at McCafe Scotts. The place is great for a chat with your friends. They have individual sections so in a way, you do get your own "space".
630pm met Cengie at Takashimaya. It was pouring and Cen was trapped at Mandarin Hotel. I told her that I will go buy an umbrella so I can shelter her across. And after buying the umbrella, the rain miraculously stopped. hahahaaa... Bummer. so I spent 10bucks on that stupid thing and did not make use of it after that. I wish I was in Australia cos there is the return policy. hahaaa...
Had dinner at Taka then headed to Party World and K for 4hrs. Now darn tired. So at about 11pm.... I received an sms. I thought was Pearl but it wasn't. He messaged me to tell me that he is back in Perth and stuff like that and that he has also sent me an email. Said that he will be heading to Spore soon. But I guess with his tight schedule for Sem 2, doubt he can even spare anytime except for the 2weeks break. Aiyah not my problem la.... Okie cannot think about it. It is so wrong. Just too blurdee wrong.

Today when I woke up from my beautiful "dream", I still kinda miss last night. Just thought about the conversations and being frank with each other. Well anyway I have already stated that it was a dream. So life still goes on.
Did message him at 5pm wishing him well and other stuff. The day went on like a breeze. Had dinner with parents at Tiong Bahru foodcourt then Alvin messaged me and asked me if I was interested for a drink. Met him at 930pm and we went to Dempsay Road for wine but the place was closing at 10.45pm. The hillarious part was:
Waitress: We close at 11pm but we will be chasing customers away at 10.45pm.
Alvin: It's okay then. We will just leave. Till I have the mood to be chased by you then I will come back again.
How in the world will a waitress say that to a customer? Chase? Goodness. She should just say that they will starting packing up when its 10.45pm and they will close at 11pm. HAhahahaa.. but that place serves cheap wine and the ambience is not bad. So I will definitely visit that place again at an earlier time.
We headed off to Alley Bar. Nice place. Not sure if I have been there with the Pink Flamingo guys previously but just got a feeling that I have been there before. Full-on Angmoh can that place. ahhaaa.. I know I abit turtle la. But I don't mind hanging out there in future. Or if he comes again next month, prolly will bring him there.

Magical Night
After my haircut with Kane yesterday 24.7.05 Saturday, I took a cab straight home to change. As usual, I can't think straight under pressure. I cannot decide what I should wear. Meantime I also checked where is the hotel he was staying at. After which, took a cab to Coleman St. My GOODNESS. The Military were reharsing the NDP. Just waiting for the blurdee tanks to pass first, my taxi fare increased by $2.00.
Trying to focus on the Tanks. This is River Valley Road.
Another Tank. Can you imagine the major traffic jam that it has caused? Not more of the private cars, but I feel for the people taking a taxi passing through that area (eg. Me)
Last Tank to pass. :)
After all tanks passed, taxi driver stopped at some place and asked me to walk over to the hotel. I got off, walk as fast as possible in my heels. Blurdee toes were killing me. Not to mention, the weather, I was feeling sticky by the end I reached the hotel.
So finally I saw HIM! Got greeted by pecks on cheeks. :D haahhahahahaa..... I felt bad as I told him that I would be done by 6-ish and he waited at the hotel lobby till 730pm. We went over to Funan Centre, I think, for coffee at Coffee Beans. Bumped into my Uncle and his whole family. After coffee it was almost 8.30pm, we headed to Raffles City to have dinner at this small Japanese foodplace.
After dinner, I got led into Raffles Plaza's poolside. It was amazing. We hang around the pool and had our first beers. He introduced me to some of the workers at poolside as he always stays there and we did chat for awhile.
I thought we could stay there forever. But at about 10.30pm, the poolside manager said: Sorry we are closing. Bummer.
We went to CHIJMES and took a stroll, decided nothing suited us and he asked for suggestions where to bring him. Just at that moment, I received Simon's msg that he was going Velvet. I did kinda plan with Simon in the arvo cos' I do not know what place would be good to bring him.
I told him that we should go Velvet and he was cool about it. He wanted to freshen up. So headed back to his hotel.
Looks quite small compared to Raffles Plaza. But the price is not really cheap. $175+++. Raffles Plaza was $280+++
He took out two shirts and asked me to decide what he should wear. I thought he isn't much of a fashion person. His shirt brands are Marc and Ben Sherman. His jeans were Diesel. For a man of his age, I got to admit that he is quite QUITE knowledgable of his fashion.
Reached Velvet at 12.15am. Met up with Simon and his friend. Hanged out at the bar till 330am. It was amazing. The whole night we just talked and talked about anything under the sky. His personal life, his work life, his views of certain issues. He listen to my problems, encouraging me every time I feel low.
Had couple of drinks. He was still feeling energetic. Went back to his hotel and he made me a cup of tea. You won't believe it. We lie in bed and talked till 6am. Then I decided to leave cos' he lunch meeting with his colleagues and he is such a light sleeper. So I said my goodbye (donno when will I see him again). But he will be back in Sg for the graduation. :D So prolly will get to see him in Oct.

Meeting at Orchard
Saturday, July 23, 2005
Yes, my first trip down to Orchard. It was a Friday yesterday. Met up with Lona, Peiling and Deb. They are all leaving this Sunday back to Perth. Don't know when will I see them again. Apparently Jon (Pei's bf) will be going over to Perth in 2006 to study and Peiling is deciding to get her PR. So most probably I will see them back then.
We met up at Coffee Club at Wisma.
Nona and Me.
Taitai feeling sick. Keep sneezing. The flu bug is attacking everyone.
Taitai and Nona
Me and Peiling. I look damn giant hor? hahahaa....
Didn't manage to take a pic wif Deb. Brought camera out but never take pic wif her. ahhaa... Slip of mind. After that we girls did a little shopping at Mng and Ninewest. At about 7pm we all said our goodbyes and I went to Paragon to meet Cheryl for tea. I saw my long-time friend, Adrian, when I was having tea with Cheryl. Boy, he looks damn different loh. hahaaa..
Didn't join Cheryl for dinner. Wanted to take a bus home but by the time I walked to the bus-stop behind Taka, the bus-stop isn't there anymore. So I have to walk all the way to Wisma. By the time I reached the bus-stop, I was perspiring and I felt darn tired. Think is the air in Sg or what, I always feel tired easily.
At 11pm, went to have supper with parents at Maxwell market then headed back home. Suppose to meet Gabriel cos he went Wala. But sick bird la, cannot meet.
So today, I woke up by a telephone call and the number started with +614XXXXXXXXXX
YIPPIE!!! He called! He is going to meet me today for dinner and some drinks. Will double confirm with him the time after my haircut appt with Kane. The meeting with the girls at CHIJMES has been cancelled. *Bummer*. Alrite will update later abt the dinner :D

Last Weekend in Perth

On 16th July was my hsemate's, Matthew, birthday. Celebrated at The Sebel Restuarant.
Birthday boy with girlfriend (Wife-to-be) Rachel.
Friends who attended his birthday dinner.
The boys talking about some game stuff.
Candid shot of Sam!
Me and my White Wine.
Dinner is Served!
Birthday Cake for Matt.
17.07.05 Sunday I went to church, St Mary's Cathedral in the city, for the last time. I really love this church. Been going there for more than one year and the services are always without fail very inspiring and really strengthen my faith. I simply can't bear to say goodbye.
The doors are really ancient huh.
That's where the choir sings.
The Alter
18.07.05 Monday. Had the 2nd last night's dinner at The Moon.
Jay and my hsemate.
Residents of 22/55 Wellington Street.
Best Mate!
Strike a pose.
Kyan and Me.
Us Playing UNO. I was the Ultimate Loser. Sad. hahahaa... After Uno, we played "Heart Attack". We were kinda noisy and the people at The Moon looked at us whenever we shout HEART ATTACK... Sam as usual will just scream whenever waiting for someone to smack the hands.
Remains of the Mudcake
Jay as usual lending a helping hand.
This is how dimly lit the place is.
The clock that goes anti-clockwise.
Pathway that leads to the outside of The Moon where we usually sit as they allow indoor smoking.
Vintage Harley right on top of the entrance door.
Well.... I would like to thank my hsemate for taking care of me all these months and also listening to my endless nonsense and complains. Oso would like to thank Mike who always accompany me to K. Listening to the horrific voice that I've got and our dreams to join the "song" bros for singing lessons. Sam who always listening to my complaints. Those late-night kopi sessions I am definitely gonna miss them. Jay for helping out. AIYAH I MISS PERTH. I am suffering from withdrawl symptom now can.

What A Day
Friday, July 15, 2005
Well been sick for the past few days compliments of xxxx. I hate the feeling of the irritable throat and flu. I rather get a paper cut. So today met Mike and Sam and Jay for lunch at Spencer Village after which we went to Thornlie to shop at Jeanswest's warehouse. Cheap cheap.. but I think it's not as cheap as it first started. But then again, that is one of our (Sam n Me) bargain places.
Then I emailed this guy I bought the vacuum bags from, he told me that he sent it with regular post. How stupid can one be sometimes I really wonder. Before purchasing the bags, I have told him the urgency that I really needed the bags before Sunday as I was leaving on Tuesday. I told him to send me in express post and I will pay the difference. So somewhere between the emails and the purchase, I guess he just missed out the IMPORTANCE of me needing it by MONDAY. So what is the point of the bags being sent to my Perth address when I am in Singapore? Gosh....
Actually today wanted to blog reason being, my mother called me and told me one bad news.
My Singapore dog Fifi, has passed away on Sunday. I wasn't so taken aback by it as I have noticed a huge lump on her tummy the previous time I was back. What I mean by big is the size of an average person's palm and it was sagging down. She was practically dragging it whenever she is moving around. I suspect that it was cancerous. Oh wellz, folks seldom bring her to the vet anyway.
I just pray to God that Fifi will be well-taken care of and finally she is free from any pain she was suffering when she was still living. Can't imagine how my mother is taking it now. She told me that when she heard Fifi whine, she rushed her to the hospital and her eyes were still open. On the way to the hospital, I guess she just gave up. Mum told me she just closed her eyes and her heart stopped beating. Haizz...
Too much happening today.

9th July The day when reality sets in
Saturday, July 09, 2005
This morning or rather afternoon, dear ms Bournaparte called ms Yap at 12pm while ms Yap was still in her dreamland.
ms B: " EH RESULTS OUT ALREADY!"
ms Y: " Huh? (still blur) Isit? Okay I go check now!"
Straight away woke up, click onto Murdoch's hmpge -> My Info -> Logged in -> View Results.
I was so scared, afraid that I will have to stay back another sem. The next thing that came to my mind was use Winamp to block the results. So I slowly viewed. I PASSED! hahahaaa... 55% JUST PASSED! What the heck, pass can already la. Still go and hope for HD meh? That is what I got for Company Law, for the Politics unit, damn, I got only 50% (seriously just pass!).
The following event just happened like a flash. Some interested car buyer called and said that she is coming over to take a look @ the car. The next 30mins was like a dream. She paid in cash for the car. When I was clearing my car, I kinda miss it already. I haven't even take a pic of it. So yes, now I feel lost. I do not know what to do now. No car, graduated. Just waiting for 20th July to come so that I can go back for good.
Gosh. 5years in Perth. And now I am going to miss my life in Perth so very much. The colors of Perth, the culture and my way of life most importantly. Oh wellz, everything happens for a reason.

Farewell BBQ at Sam's
Friday, July 08, 2005
On 6th July, Sam and Mike decided to host a farewell bbq at their "farmstay" house at Canning Vale. Then everybody brought their dogs along. Apparently it was also going to be Muffin's bday, so also a celebration for her la. Sam made this raspberry drink. She has soaked the raspberry in Vodka for 2 hours and mixed them with fruitpunch. The drink was fantastic. Not a single hint of Vodka! If only she has soaked it overnight, then it would be a stronger drink.
Mike bbq-ing and the guys
Sam trying to gather all the dogs together.
She threw the treat see which dog will get it first. Scoobie as usual fastest.
Enjoying another winter arvo.
Yih Sian came too! He told me that it was his birthday that day and I didn't believe him at all. I still say that he was always bullshitting. BUT it was in fact his birthday! I FElt bad after finding out the next day. Anywayz managed to take a pic of him without him noticing. COs he hates to take pics. ahhahhaha..
Pipi playing on the lawn. She knocked out man that day on the way home. She slept throught the journey back home and when she reached home, total knocked out flat. hahaaa...
Now update abit 8th July 2005
I know I should update everyday, but just tired la. More like lazy hahaa...
Well I sat facing my laptop and decided to take pics of the stuff I bought this month. I didnt take pics of clothes but I took pics of shoes. So here it is,
Nine West 2nd July - 70AUD. Original $149. Cos Nine West having Sale 50% off.
Witchery 25th June - $49.95 (Web-buy) cos W.A sold out. Original $149.95
Witchery 7th July - $49.95. Original $149.95. Luckily bought it this week. Cos last week it was still $79.95. When I saw that reduction, straightaway buy. Not thinking twice. Cos was contemplating whether to buy this for work.
Nu 7th July - $89. Original $169. Very comfy shoes. Feels like Camper. But the cheaper alternative!
Yah so I bought 4 pairs of shoes in less than 1 mth.
As I am updating this blog, I realised that its blurdee 8th JULY! I AM GOING BACK TO SINGAPORE NXT WK!
Shite! And anywayz, wanna say this company from Sg has emailed me to go for an interview. I was pretty thrilled at first. But when she stated the working hours and the pay... I am seriously having second thoughts of going back Sg.
Working Hrs : 8.30-6pm
Wages : $6/hr
It is a PT job as I will be covering some girl who is on maternity leave. And after calulating that, I will be earning less than 1.5k per mth and take home will be unimaginable. Whereas here OZ, waitress are being paid like $10/hr AUD!
Results will be out in 2 days' time. Prolly fail? Then have to stay back. hahahahaa...... just in denial. The thought of going back somehow hits me right now. :(
Okay happy news, yesterday I was having coffee with hsemate and Jay, so I was asking if I do need a reference from my lecturer. So I think to myself.... hmmmm.... seems like no lecturers are close to me. I seldom chat with them anywayz. The only one I can think of is Him. He is my lecturer for my Ecommerce Unit. He always frequents Sg as he has some biz going on in Sg and Indo i think. He is really farnee guy. Swears during lessons. Very straightforward. I was suppose to meet him last year Nov but he forgot to jot down my number so I missed him on his previous visit to Sg. Anywayz he told me that he was blurdee drunk and had to crawl back to his hotel at Mhd Sultan. Mind you, he is in his early forties and has a son. But he definitely not acting like one of his age. Still like a small boy.
So the main point is, after mentioning about him last night, I got home to check my mail and he has EMAILED ME! hhahahahaa... Asking me how I was and whether I will be in Sg by 22nd July. I was so thrilled! Well, I am darn sure I will be back by then. So I can meet him. He did listen to my problems and troubles last year as he noticed that I wasn't really paying attention in class. Okie la abit long already this post.
