Older and "wiser"? hmmmm, agree with the older part, not too sure about the wiser bit though.
So on Friday 24.11.06, stayed back after work for farewell drinks for my colleagues. Went home and had an early night.
Saturday, met up with Jo for Yum Cha then went to Leederville for coffee. Feeling lucky and I bought my first lotto Slikpik, feeling the beginner's luck on my side? Didn't win anything though. hahaa...
Met Benny for movie and dinner and late night coffee with Sam after which and she passed me bday pressies! hehehee
Finally 12am, 26.11.06.... I was 25! Thanks for the call Gladys:)
So many thanks to my dear friends for the well wishes... Bernard too for the card.
Presents from Sammie and colleagues and on the extreme left birthday card is sent by my parents! :)
On my hatch day itself, went back to office for 2hrs OT then headed to city for lunch with Benny and did a little shopping around.
At night, met up with my colleagues for Korean BBQ and drinks at Clancy Fish Bar.

I am growing more attached to my colleagues. We all kinda agree that we are still hanging on is due to the environment. Definitely not the work nor the pay. hahahaa... The work environment is pretty laid back and colleagues are nice people. But I am still on a hunt for better opportunity! *fingers x*
So I did really enjoy myself but I guess deep down I was quite disappointed as the plan originally didn't fall through. Yep, once again he MIA for one week, I think he was afraid that I was growing too attached to him, and that is a fact. So yeh whatever it is, his actions has made its point. So that is the end of one small chapter of my life in 2006. :)

The Chase

Today, Sun 19th nov 06, went back to office to do some OT. The admin system was down and there's pretty much nothing we can do about it. So my bosses went downstairs to get some brekky and we spend the next 2 hours chatting away and watching the Red Bull Air Race from boardroom.

Then we were were told to just clock in 2hours of OT. My colleagues and I later decided to walk down to Langley Park and join the crowd. It was estimated to have attracted a crowd of 300k! And my manager and I just stood there waiting for the action to begin. It wasn't as exciting as I thought. The stunts that the pilots performed was rather neat but once you have seen one, you pretty much seen it all. Didn't hang around much after seeing the 3rd pilot performed its Stage 1 stunts.
Okay, since the last time I blogged, well not much has happened. Well considering my rent increased, I am still underpaid, Mum is undergoing a major op and I will be back in Singapore in 2 weeks.
And also.....
Did something stupid. 2 days after I blogged previously, I received a phone call from jc at 5am. He needed me to pick him and his friend up from my house neighborhood. Yes silly.
Then he did mention that his belt broke when he was at the club. I got info from him about where he got the belt from and the next weekend, I went to get the exact one from him. ha.... why am I feeling like I am 18 again? Things that you do at that time: buying little gifts, butterflies in your stomach before seeing the other, acting silly (e.g. sitting on the swing and laughing at our childish behaviour).... I miss that feel where you totally lose yourself in time and suddenly nothing seems to matter at all. With jc, I feel that way and prolly it's because of that foreign experience, I am drawn to the new founding.
No surprise, after that day, once again no news from him. I knew he was going to syd with family but felt quite disappointed that I wasn't told the exact date. Almost 1 week later, I got a message from him stating that he was at Sydney visiting sis and also for U2's concert.
Then this week back in Perth, found a new picture on his msn with another chick. But hey, I am in no position to question or whatsoever, so I have to deal with it.
Met him yesterday to pass him the belt and I have to give him the credit for making his place comfy and playing my favourite Damien Rice songs. I was like a constant reminder to him saying that he does owe me dinner and a present for next week. So, I will offer my two cents worth on him forgetting about the deal.
I am chasing after a butterfly that will not settle. I can never ever understand what is going on in his mind and even so, it really intrigues me. But the question is: How long am I willing to put myself in the situation to be treated like a "floor mat"? Anyway everything has an expiration date to it. Nothing lasts forever. So I believe that the day will come when I am exhausted after going around in an endless circle.
