I was told by Janet many a times that my blog seriously needs some updating...
well... I started work on 12.9.07.... everything's going great now... though they say that auditors do not have social life due to long working hours... but so far, count my lucky stars, I've got great seniors who do planning within the time budget and my latest that I have finished work was 730pm? hehehehe
this was taken during training classes before we are sent off to clients' places...All we do is eat sweets, smoke, coffee and tryin to be ENTHU about everything. This thing abt the firm is everything has to be written on the flip chart... damn....
Shortly after a month, the firm hosted this Welcome Night to all newbies at ZouK! tat was awsuM!!!! but then... on tat fateful night... i lost my watch... devasted, i was. nonetheless, i had fun and didnt really thot abt that after awhile...
Charmaine, Irene, Angela
Basically work life is quite the same every other day... but i'm loving it currently. hahahaa... after work,it's either meet kelv, janet & co or I go home and have a lil alone time...
Just last week, met up with Robin and Feizai and Wan Zhen and Fb's gf... Rob just stopped overnight. had dinner @ bt timah hawker n food was fantastic. i was just thinking how well we are doing now... i'm really happy for all of them...
Robin a.k.a Si Feizai and Guoliang a.k.a Feizai
One day he picked me up after work and we went to Marina Square have jap food. After meal, we came across this watch shop and they were having 20% off all watches. I saw the watch which remember seeing before and he did comment before tat it was nice. And knowing that I recently lost my watch @ zouk, without hesitation, he bought the watch for me! Sweeettttt.... and as for my bday pressie, he bought me the bracelet that i have been longing to own... heheee..
Yesterday was Kelv's bday (1st Nov) and we went to Merchant Court to have a sumptous meal... Not to quite what I've expected but it's alright... and the day before went to Bugis with his mates for dinner followed by drinks @ Altivo... (still waiting for pics from his friend for the pics taken @ altivo) ::it's the 1st time i've taken pics wif him =x ::
Kelv, Brian and Tommy

All in all, I love my simple life! We did mention about going to Perth for a short trip next Autumn... can't wait!!! ;)

Life of an Unemployed
Friday, August 31, 2007
Miss Yap is officially unemployed since 17.08.07... So what have I been doing for the past week? I can't remember man... Everyday seems to be the same. heee:)
For the first 3 days of my holiday, I spend everyday slacking at home. Went to 6th Ave's Video Ezy and rented some dvds. Hell it was expensive! 5 dvds for SGD$20. In Aust, it costs like $1.95 for every dvd. On the 4th day, went to Vivocity with Kelv for dinner and followed by drinks @ Altivo. Seems like I can't get enough of Altivo! hahahaa... but the night was lovely! Was drizzling a lil but just nice enough to keep the weather cooling. On Friday, met Janet, Alena and Jon Yong for dinner at Blu Jazz Bar. The service is really really slow and they mixed up our orders. Overall food was good and cheap, I don't mind going back there for dinner again. But definitely won't do it on a Fri night. Kelv went to some friend's bday party @ dragonfly. I think it should be quite a boring night for me cos I receive an sms every 30mins? hahaa.. At around 2.30am, he came over to pick me up and we went to West Coast maccas for late late supper! :D
Saturday... let me see where did I go?? Oh Yes... We went to City Link for dinner, and shopped at Marina Square. Bought the bag I have been contemplating at Charles N Keith. yay!
Sunday.... we went to watch Ratatouille! Thumbs up! Halfway thru the movie, mom called and told me that she and dad are going to SGH A&E as dad's eye seems to be bleeding. Kelv and I went to SGH after movie and I think it was very sweet of him to accompany us all the way and send my folks back.
Monday.... dinner @ alexandra village and again vivocity for my last minute purchase of the silver sandals I have been eyeing... and drinks @ wine connection!
Gosh I really need to remember what have i been doing everyday.
Tues... met sam and jo for coffee @ HV. Dinner at Grandma's ... Spose to see the solar eclipse.. but that day was so cloudy and we have to give it a miss. Dad's eye wasnt getting any better. Grandma's leg wound has worsen. :(
Wed... dinner at Sentosa's Imperial Kitchen... and drinks at Wine Connection again... Thank God, dad went to A&E again and the doc said nothing has worsen for his condition and it's normal. At night, there was much improvement and that's one big relief:)
1Deg15Marina
Thurs... dinner @ Soup Garden (paragon) and followed by K session. Again waiting for jan 2 send over the pics.
So what am i gonna do today? Definitely I am so going to do some studyinG!!!!! I'll not procrastinate (erh?) and be focus with it today! (fingers x)
Weather: LURVLY!!!! I wanna go for a swim!

National Day Holidays

7.8.07 - met arthur and we had dinner at this restaurant @ Raffles City... Not too sure what's the name of it... but it's not bad. Ambience is good too... then after dinner, we went to altivo at mt faber to have some beer! The first sip taste of the beer soooooooooooo good..... did a lil catching up... reliving the days of Australia... and as the clock was ticking... it was almost 11pm and as usual Miss Yap's eyes were shutting.... Oh yes... when i went to the ladies.... THE SCENERY WAS AWSUM!!!!!!!!!!!
Inspirations :: in future the view from my house bathroom view should be of this standard? !!!! hahahahaha
8.8.07 - went to work, but was already in holiday mood. couldn't wait for the day to end. havent even done any packing yet. Met jessica and her friend for dinner at holland v's sushi tei. Managed to finish packing but kelv still chatting away on msn with his mates and when it was 11pm (mind you, we were spose to meet at 615am @ Golden Mile) he still hasnt packed a single thing. I couldn't care less, so I went to bed first.
9.8.07 - THE DAY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR has arrived. okie... sorry for the capslock. but just a lil overly excited. hahahaa... it was raining when we got onto the coach... journey wise... i thought we were gonna take like 6hours to get to Genting.. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... we got there like abt 330pm! zzzzzzzzzzz.... on the way along the freeway from Tuas.... our coach captains realised that the timing belt was dodgy and we had to make a quick stop at this God-forsaken place.
The pple trying to change the belt.
This is the dunny we all had to use if we had to attend to nature's call. I felt it was an experience i will never forget, there wasn't any flushing system (obviously), and everything is down to the drain? okie... if Janet's reading this, she's so gonna puke.
So after all the drama, we were on our way to Genting... Reckon the coach is too old or something... when it went up the slopes, it was perpetually engaged into 1st gear (which is right) but other coaches were overtaking us :(
So finally at 330pm we arrived! And when we were going to do our checking in, guess what? We had to go to this Tour Counter to check in. So when we got there, to our astonishment, there was a long queue just to check in. We got our Q no. and when I asked the counter guy if its running numbers, he said yes. Well done, there were 100 guests before us. And he suggested we go to starbucks get some coffee and hang out for abit before heading back.
All in all, we managed to check into our hotel at 5pm! I WAS DEAD BEAT! But we decided not to waste anymore time, we went to purchase movie tickets for that night and the following day.
Rush Hour 3 was having some special screening preview over at Genting Hotel and we
thought sure it's gonna be a good decent cinema... but we were wrong.
It's like a huge auditorium, and they just put seats to fill it up and U call that special ScreeniNG?!?!?!?!??!?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH first of all, the seats was uncomfy... the sound system sux. but then again, it was 10RM, so no complaints. :S
We had dinner at this restaurant at First World Shopping Complex... when we were being served, the host asked, smoking or non smoking session? I was quite surprised?! we are allowed to smoke indoors? of cos naturally, Miss Yap without hesitation said: Smoking please! ;)
10.8.07 - We slept til noon. And realised we are so going to be late for our movie "Secret". On the way to the cinema, just bought those nonsense stuff to fill our tummies first. The movie was FANTASTIC! I was like totally into it and for a minute, I forgotten I was actually in Genting. 100% engrossed. Jay's directing was good and his acting this time i should say, has slight improvement? hahahaa...
View from our level
After movie, we shopped, ate, shopped, ate... what's new? Since he doesn't gamble, there wasn't really much left to do. He didn't fancy the theme park too. Went to Watsons and I saw this hp charm, one is with a girl and the other is a boy. I thought he wouldn't be keen but he said buy the pair and he will hang it too. Yiipppppiiiieeeeeeee! :)
11.8.07 - Woke up earlier to do packing and checked out. I was starting to feel sick. I coughed really badly and I was having fever. Damn malaysian ciggies. I am so gonna swear off them man.... Waited for our coach for like 1hour? No sense of timing. I was whinning away cos there wasn't any seats around. I had to stand and I was feeling sik, hanging around the bus terminal taking in all the carbon monoxide was not a joke.
Finally the coach arrived. Driver couldnt speak English, and none of us knows Malay. Hahahahaa.. Big time language barrier. The coach seriously needs maintenance. The shock absorbers are so gone and it keeps making the squeaky sound. the bus journey back home was sooo horrible... couldnt sleep well at all. everyone's complaining about the noise.
But above all these, he was really sweet. took real good care of me when I was sick, and this trip has brought us so much closer together.
When I got back to Singapore, we took seperate cabs back. When I got back, I knocked out straight away. And the nightmare begins... I was bedridden for 2days. Thank God for Mom... She was by my side 24hours. She sponged me, took care of my needs and fed me. I was so sick and my feva was frigging high.... 39.5! Yesterday I managed to gain some energy and went to see the doc alone. But it was such a torturous journey to Holland Village, I was feeling faintish and the wait was 2hours. The bill came up to 51SGD. Damn expensive can. I got so much medicine to take and that could well make up as my breakfast.
I told Kelv that i had craving for Soy Bean with Grassjelly, and we went for it last nite. I thought I was up for it but I think I am still not feeling 100%, felt faintish and feverish. So off he sent me home and I went back took the drowsy medication (thumbs up) and I was "dead to the world" in less than 5minutes.
I am still not feeling that good today so I gave myself another day to rest at home. Furthermore the accountant is back and there's nothing much I can do @ work. So stuff it.... I am also helping the company saving money as they will pay me lesser as I am taking unpaid leave.
I want to be well again and not feeling faintish and being such a weakASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! its time for me to take my medication and rest again....

Lazy Sunday Afternoon
Sunday, August 05, 2007
Yesterday outta the blue, I had that worst feel of my life again. Broke into cold sweat, severe headache and wanted to throw up. The weather was horribly humid and hot and I think due to the time of the month due soon, my body just couldn't take it. Dad came to my rescue, picked me up at Orchard and I went home to rest. Almost couldn't make it to ktv at night.
But managed to wake up in time, cheng came to pick me up and went for a light dinner then headed down to Intl Bldg for our K session! I was feeling so much better at night after taking 2 strong pain killers. zzzzzzzzzz..... why does it always happen 2 me?!
Jan and I have been cam whoring recently. Everywhere we go, especially in Yong's car. hahahahaa... I was singing halfway and suddenly took out her camera and suggested that we take a pic! but someone still managed to squeeze into frame .... zzzzzz....
After our 3hrs of k-ing, we went to join Yong and Alena at some place which I cant remember... erhhhhh Villa Bali! Yes! hahahaha....
Today, lunch was at Marg Drive! 2 people had a feast :
Let the Feast Begin
Managed to conquer the battle!
Followed by Icecream @ River Valley :)
*yawnz* I am so looking forward to this week. Gonna be a 3day work week for moi! yay! heading to Genting over the long holidays.... Hope everything will be smoothsailing.
Weather: Beautiful Sunday Arvo

Boring Draggy Day
Thursday, July 26, 2007
For the past few days, the weather has been "autumnish". Grey skies, raining perpetually, but I lurve it! Managed to dig out a few thicker clothes for the weather.
I was browsing through other people's blog and I came across this cute webbie to find out what percentage of the countries in the world have you visited! THen I realised, I doubt I will ever visit every single island/country in this world. It's HUGE~!
I have been working at this IT firm for coming 2 months and seriously, 95% of my time here, I'm either ebaying, surfing, pirating with jan, chatting on msn etc. I feel tired of trying to be busy cos there's nothing much to do except on allocated dates to close accounts and to finalise the month end financial statements. hence, it's always a draggy day for moi @ work. Couple of my work mates passed me heaps of different puzzles of Sudoku to kill time, done it all. zzzzzzzz
This saturday's my good pal Jessica's birthday. We are spose to go some ktv pub at Tanjong Pagar. Been ages since I last stepped into a KTV PUB! Actual fact, I can't wait for this Saturday to come. . . seems foreva man....
Oh Yes, La Vie En Rose (movie) is out and Alone (horror movie) is out this weekend. Hope I can go watch it soon. . . But first of all, tomorrow's my basic theory test. Gotta pass it in order to convert my bleeding Aust License. arghhhh.... But I took half day off from work for the test and after that, I wanna go Far East to do some shopping~~~
Over the past months since I have been back, quite a number of events happened. Couples breakup, Couples managed to reconcile after going thru rough patches, Celebrating of a newborn into this world, Friends being stalked, Friends going through lowest points in their lives and managed to "see the light". But I guess that's life for me in Singapore ==> Never a dull moment! I'm so blessed having such wonderful beautiful friends surrounding me and supporting, caring for me constantly!

Singapura
Thursday, June 14, 2007
On 24th March, made my way back to Singapore. The last weeks in Perth was fantastic. Shopped alot and hanged out at my favourite cotto beach with Sophia.
When I got back, caught up with many of my good mates. Then my kiasu attitude kicked in. Started to hunt for jobs, didn't want to just laze around and be on a "long holiday". After much decision making... I decided to go with Kpmg. It has always been one of the companies that I wish I can join. I have been told many horror stories about the long and endless working hours. But think about it, Singapore's working culture is no way in comparisson with Aust's. What is with the working on saturday rule? Anyway I will only start with them in September.
So currently I am working in an IT firm doing accounts. My colleagues are really wonderful and my bosses are very approachable and working with them is fantastic. Furthermore, they always treat us to brekkie or tea time snacks and this sorta gives us the feel that its more of a close knit team.
Another good news: Cengie has given birth to Xiao-P aka Kyan on Mothers' Day (13.05.07).
Edmund's wedding this saturday (16.06.07)
Xiao-P's first month on Sunday (17.06.07)
Yesterday my rather good friend came to find me for lunch. Told me abt his wedding plans and I am really happy that after almost 10years, things are turning out so fine for all of my friends.
Now Im so bored at work. Finished doing what I am supposed to do, boss is on leave til next week. gonna fall asleep at my desk soon....

Last Day @ Paradigm
Friday, March 09, 2007
Time flies, my contract with Paradigm ends today 9.3.07. And I have also decided it's prolly time for me to head home and give Singapore another shot. Anyway I have got my PR and I can always come back here in a couple of years' time. I feel sad leaving paradigm. Everybody is so nice to me. Bosses really understand you and they are the best boss anyone can ask for!
Friends at Paradigm organised this mini farewell lunch for me :)
Half of the group at today's farewell lunch at Emporio Bar & Cafe at 77 St Georges Tce
The one with glasses is my manager, Tim, and the one with smiley face is Rodney. Tim looks really fierce but he is a very very humourous bloke. Although most of the time, I am afraid of him cos he has this serious look and with the deep voice, really doesn't complement the true Tim. hahaaaa
The other half of the group. Next to me is Eddie, my team mate, Middle is celine and the other is Debby.
Lee-lis and me.....
she is so sweeetttt this really really good friend of mine, Lee-Lis.... she bought me a black pearl necklace for my farewell gift. She and I really get along well. We are known as the giggling girls.... Directors and Managers walk past us always see us giggling away with our very very random conversations. And there was once, one director walked into the pantry area and saw both of us quietly spacing out, she asked in very concern manner if both of us are okay! isit sometimes just want to space out also kena asked if we are alright?!!? After which she made a comment that she will be darn worried when she sees us both with serious faces.
This is Debby, the assistant accountant. I will be missing those lunch outings with her to indonesian restaurants to satisfy our cravings of curry or some fried noodles.
The Three Musketeers! The other girl is Nicola. She and Lee-lis helped organised my farewell gift and signing off the card too..... I am so gonna miss our little coffee breaks and ridiculously random chats.
I just realised that all our lunches each Friday is always Fish & Chips and either a glass of wine or beer. Ahahhahaaa.. that's why my face is kinda "blushing". I love Friday lunches and drinks.
Today I need to pack up and leave this beautiful apartment by this weekend. I feel rather sad leaving all these behind. Hopefully I will be able to sell my car by next week and then I can start to head back to Singapore. It's all happening too fast and I cannot believe that all these are happening at the moment. :S
Weather: Past 3 days was 44degrees. Today 27degrees with strong wind. Mad weather.
